  • Not worth having this card!

Never use Credit One. I understand that in our time of rebuilding our credit we have to use these bad cards. However use a partially secured from Bank of America or Discover IT. I had an account with Credit One for 1 year. I paid on time in full always. Only gave me terrible limit increases. At the end of the first year the wanted to add over $8 a month just to have the card. I asked them to wave the fee but instead they made over weak offers of reduced rate for 6 months. I closed my account and no regrets on doing so. More...

  • Continued charging interest after the card was closed and paid

I made 3 payments in a row and each one thy called and told me it was past due. So I made 2 payments at once while they were on the phone. I saw the other three had cleared my checking account as well so I called my bank and placed a stop payment on one of the two I had just made. Credit One closed my card due to "fraudulent payment activity". I called when I got the letter to pay the card off. they gave me a final amount including any possible charge they could have added and I payed it. The following month I received another bill for $1.33 for interest on the zero balance on my... More...

I never applied for a credit one credit card. They sent me a card that I trashed and never activated. I started getting bills for a card that was never activated and used with a fees of $25 every month. Called the customer care rep - said that I had opened the account (LIE) and had all the info on me. Asked him to delete the account and also inquired how could the card be used without activation - he hung up the phone on me. They are pure scammers .. stay away from them! Called another rep and then had to talk with the manager to cancel the account. Fraudulent company - dont forget to... More...

  • Fraudulent

My husband and I each got one. My acct was charged an addt'l credit protection fee (for which I didn't sign up). It averaged only $3/mo, but over the time I had this card, the charges totalled $50! Not to mention late fees, high fees to pay acct online, overage charges, high annual (monthly) fees... there is nothing good or convenient about this card! But worst of all, he and I have tried to cancel each of our cards, and they don't! They just keep charging us monthly fees! I'm sending certified letters today. They use fraudulent tactics to squeeze more money out of... More...

  • Consumer Beware

Attention Consumers Beware of credit cards issued by Credit One. I applied for this card with the intention of emergency use only. I have never used this card for any purchases. You never know the closing date of your statement. I never received a statement in the mail and I decided to use the online system. If you pay on online your are charged $5.00 for paying online. The one thing you do not notice in the agreement is that you pay a monthly fee for the credit card even though you do not use the card. Also beware of paying the minimum amount, you are still charged a late fee.... More...

Got a letter in the mail saying that I was pre-approved for $1500.00 and then it has you go through the steps and has all these charges and changes the limit to $400.00 just to make sure it covers the charges you are going to asset and that's just not right, now for the $1500.00 I was considering it but not for $400.00 so please cancel the card if its only for the $400.00 because You say one thing and then do another and that makes your company non-trust worthily and I don't want to deal with a company I can't trust. So thanks but no thanks.

I have had a Credit One card for several months. I moved, made a change of address online as stated in the FAQs area of their website. Much to my surprise, I tried to make an $11 purchase (still $300 under my limit) and was told by the store employee it was declined. I called for three days in a row and was told to change my account user name and passwrod, every day for 8 days I called with no satisfaction. Wouldn't get a supervisor, etc. FINALLY, I was told I would have to submit documentation of my address change to include a copy of my drivers license with the new address, as well as an utility bill with the new address. I advised the CSR my rent was inclusive of utility bills and wouldn't be able to send one. The response was oh, we'll close the account then. After further discussion and several concurrences later, I was told I could send a notarized copy of my lease and the drivers license. When Credit One receives it, they will unsuspend my account. Everything is 7-10 days with them. I mailed the documentation on 4/30/2013 and they haven't received the items to date. The post office said the mail would reach Las Vegas in 3-4 days. Here I am 9 days later and STILL not able to use my credit card. Also, i normally pay my bill online, but was told until the suspension was lifted, I either had to mail it in or pay $9.95 to make a payment by phone. This has gone on since April 4, 2013 and I am quite frustrated. I was told yet again today, that as soon as they receive the documentation, they will release my account. Will this take six months to resolve?

This card sucks. You can't pay with a debit card without paying $11 fee. Also if you set up to view your account online plan on having to reset your account every time you want to log in since your password won't work consistantly. Total crap card. First Premier is much more normal and is also for bad credit.

wow! they called from san antonio tx,the guy couldn,t speak english.I did understand who it was, the only thing he could say in english was -you pay by debit now!you late, you pay now,you know you late, you pay debit now!!we really need a fence!totally rude,so I hung up after a few choice words,to say nothing about there late fees, when your on time.

This credit company is a rip-off. Just to pay your account online they charge you a 7.95 fee and even if you pay your bill on the due date they will charge you a late fee because they says it takes them awhile to process the information. I only got this card because I went through a bad time financialy and my credit score went down. Stay away from the
